The Beginning After the End is a story starting on Earth but quickly switches to another other-worldly universe with magic elves, dwarves, and humans. It’s an isekai, magic, swordplay, fantasy adventure. The story starts off with our main character, Grey, as king in a futuristic, dystopian-type earth. He was unsure why his body felt heavy before falling asleep and when he started to open his eyes a bright light shone as he was being reborn again. After being reborn, he still had memories of his previous life. He was born into the Leywin Family, a relatively poor family living on the outer side of the Kingdom of Sapin (Sapin human Kingdom). Arthur Leywin (AKA Grey) was a master swordsman and very proficient in controlling Ki. After finding himself crawling into the library, he started to read about this new world. The world he got reincarnated to is very underdeveloped with horses pulling carriages for roads and boats with sails for going across rivers with royal families still ruling land.
What makes this book so enjoyable is the in-depth detail of all the characters. They all have some history or some crazy event that has happened to them making them who they are and how they got to where they are. Reading this book would help you understand and put in perspective that not everything will come as easily as most people think. Even some of the most powerful people had difficult upbringings. The book helps us see that if you want something, it won’t be easy, but keep going cause there is always a way.
