Art @ Valley with Vaeh
I Interviewed Maureen, Valley’s excellent art teacher, and I viewed some of her favorite artwork displayed by Valley students. The class was working on non objective design with grayscale using charcoal. Students integrated light logic shading of forms and graduations of lights and darks to create visual dynamics. Maureen says, “The purpose was to create…

– EXHAUST – by Seven Roundy
This piece is about the feeling of escapism, I used the symbolism of being a robot and overloading, and then having the internal version of myself floating freely in the exhaust emitted as a symbol of blocking out the bad. Though escapism as a whole is a very nuanced and personal subject to me, I…

Input -> Output by Seven Roundy
This piece was created with the intention of showing a visual of what it’s like to feel as if you are fundamentally different from what is “normal”. For My project I decided to recreate an album cover that I’ve always loved. The album is Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge by My Chemical Romance. “growth” by MJ Ortega
The point of this drawing is to show spiritual growth. It’s someone breaking from their dull, gray shell and blossoming into a new, colorful form. For the new form, I used Green to symbolize growth, and Blue/Purple to symbolize spirituality. For the old form, I used dull, neutral colors like black, brown, and gray, to…
