My high school experience has definitely been one to remember, 3 different high schools and 3 completely different experiences. I started off my high school years just wanting to grow up, I switched to a charter school in 9th grade making me a high school student at that time. That year was amazing, I met so many people and created so many bonds with people I still see all the time. I made a lot of mistakes that year though, trying to be older and fit with the crowd I was in. My sophomore year I switched to Bingham high, that taught me a lot about myself. I learned how stereotypical people are and just how out of the norm I really was.
I spent a lot of time alone that year and decided it would be best to finish my 10th grade year back at the charter school. I always fit right in there and met even more great people that year, though I got so lost in trying to have fun and make the most memories, I put my education on the back burner. I finished that year failing almost all of my classes. I decided the only option was to switch to Valley. From the moment I stepped foot in this building I knew this was where I was supposed to be. I met a lot of people and lost even more. But through all of that I stayed positive, and focused on my education. I am finishing this year 10 times stronger than I was when I started, and finally knowing who I am and where I belong.
My senior year will go by in a flash, with me graduating early, I already feel high school coming to an end. I hope for the remaining time I spend at valley I stay true to myself and lead with kindness. I hope to finish high school being proud, and not dwelling. I hope to know what I want to do and have a plan for my future, and I hope to be proud of the person I was in high school.
