When I was in 5th grade I would go back and forth from my moms to my dads on weekends. One day my father came to my school and threw a surprise pizza party for my class. He brought 4 pizzas so we had normal sized slices. He got Fanta and root beer for us. It was funny seeing his 6 ‘7 body in the child sized desk. It was so fun, and when we went to recess my teacher who shall remain nameless STOLE the extra pizza!! Also shout out his cat Skittle who lives rent free in my mind.
At Granite one of the teachers, Mr. Kaly won an award for the cleanest classroom. We proceeded to parade around the school playing wooden instruments and cheering. He was walking around the school wearing a paper crown. It was one of the first times since I was younger that I had silly fun at school.
My Junior year me and a group of girls would spend every lunch together in the bathroom at Valley. Which in retrospect is very gross but none of us had cars. It was nice to have a real friend group where you always had someone to talk and hangout with. We don’t hangout at lunch anymore, but we always smile and wave to each other.
Future Plans: I plan on getting my 101’s and prerequisites at SLCC for Secondary Education and then I plan on transferring to the University of Utah to get my Bachelor Degree. I want to eventually come back to Valley High as an English teacher and continue the Hoot-Hoot.
