[Eisley’s Album Review] HIT ME HARD AND SOFT by Billie Eilish

The album I will be reviewing is “HIT ME HARD AND SOFT” by Billie Eilish.

HIT ME HARD AND SOFT is Billie’s most recent and newest album that has people BOOMING about it. This album was made to represent supporting women through their breakups, and about her ex which in that relationship and the guilt/issues that were involved. It all also tells the story of love, insecurity, lust, and obsession.

The reason why I chose this is because my personal favorites from the album is WILDFLOWER, and THE GREATEST. The reason why these are my favorites is because there’s a lot of emotions, and I just get a shiver from hearing her pain and her exhaustion from her past relationship(s) and these songs are recent ones that I can relate to on a whole different level than other songs I relate and feel connected to.

This album has a lot of personality, emotion, and potential. The songs in this album just really bring you a lot of feelings and emotions. This album in general also feels immersive, and saturated. You can just feel that you’re floating, or drowning, or running to someone but getting exhausted as if you’re with Billie going through each other’s problems at the same time, same pace, same feeling, same way.

Ever since 2019 I’ve been listening to billie. And I have to say, this album is my all time favorite that she’s made. I can cry, I can scream, I can feel like I’m drifting away, and I feel that with each breath I take while listening to this album, it is getting less heavier, more lighter, and more easy.  To me, this album is a story I could listen to over and over. It’s a story. You just have to put the songs in the right order. And the first one this album should start you with is “SKINNY” then it continues from there.

This album has inspired me that it’s okay to feel sad over breakups. Whether I broke up with the person or they broke up with me, it’s okay both ways and I feel that with this album, I can be able to feel the way I want to about myself, love myself the way i need to, and let the feelings out about my past relationship the way I need to for myself.

Overall, 5 stars out of five. I’ve never felt a way about an album until I heard this album the second it came out.
