This piece is about the feeling of escapism, I used the symbolism of being a robot and overloading, and then having the internal version of myself floating freely in the exhaust emitted as a symbol of blocking out the bad. Though escapism as a whole is a very nuanced and personal subject to me, I feel my experience is not one that I alone have had and the people and things I have encountered in the past few years have taught me to try not to block out the bad, but deal with it the best I can instead.
