Let’s dig deep into 2006 country music.

In 2006, 23 different songs topped the chart in 52 issues of the magazine, based on weekly airplay data from country music radio stations compiled by Nielsen SoundScan. The history of country music can be traced back to the early 20th century when it emerged as a genre in the southern United States. Influenced by folk, blues, and gospel music, country music became a voice for rural communities, telling stories of love, heartbreak, and the struggles of everyday life. In the 1920s, (“history timeline”) in 1930 a new subgenre of country known as the western swing was made. The mix of  country , jazz and blues creating a new sound western swing became popular in Texas and oklahoma.

And now today country music continues to evolve incorporating elements of pop, rock, and hip-hop into its sound. Artists such as Taylor Swift, Luke Bryan, and Keith Urban have achieved big success appealing to a wide range of listeners. Over 150 million people listen to country music everyday . I think 2006 country music is really good. And it is changing every day. I think it’s definitely a genre to look at three is multiple different areas in country music a little bit for everyone
