Some of the best memories of my life have been made in school. I’m the kid on the left in the picture, and the kid in the middle was my best friend growing up. The kid on the very right became my best friend throughout middle school and high school. I remember when I was in elementary school with Boston, we would play football and have the most fun. We would sprint out to the field and play until we had to go back in and learn Chinese. Although Chinese was enjoyable, it never quite matched the fun of playing football.
In middle school, I had so much fun on the bus rides to and from school. However, that didn’t compare to the fun I had with my friend Walker. We made middle school the best place to be. When COVID hit, it was horrible not being able to finish my 7th-grade year.
One memory from my former high school, Corner Canyon High, was when my friends and I were leaving for lunch. Just before the doors, I decided to jump over my friend while another friend filmed it. Unfortunately, I didn’t have enough hops, and half of my body didn’t make it over him. We both ended up falling straight to the ground in one big funny heap. I have so many more memories from that school that it’s difficult to recount them all.
At Valley High School, one of my best memories is when my friends and I parked our cars in the spots closest to the road. It’s comforting to know I have so many people around me who care for me and will do anything for me.
As for my future plans, I hope to apprentice as an electrician right after high school, then go on to get my journeyman’s license, and eventually start my own business.
A valuable lesson I think about every day is to treat people the way you want to be treated. Another lesson is not to care about what people think of you or what you do.
