music over the years has not aged like fine wine the ingenuity originality and personally has been water down so much by mainstream media and social apps making music not special to people or community’s like Kendrick mac miller and many others have become over played and it doesn’t hit like it used to like I miss the rarity of songs I miss every song being new and fun magical even.when your friend starts blasting something on aux and it hits u the lyrics the setting the closeness and bond u make with those friends in those moments mean so much more to me than a stupid dance with songs cut up mashed together and censored that will never induce those everlasting feelings and memories in those moments. I’m not saying don’t make that ticktock to your favorite song i’m saying stop pumping out the same content with the dance with some stupid text just for views your drying my ears out for those songs that used to mean so much to me you’ve taken the life from my ears the one thing everyone has is the enjoyment of underground or obscure music the connection with the artist and song every lyric speaks to u in a way they never have before with so much heart and pain and meaning they’ve lost it all I no longer feel that way I go turn this off never again and it gives back some of the life its lost. but I shouldn’t have to not listen to my favorite song just because everyone is listening to it over and over maybe that give is more meaning but to me it takes the special connection I have with music and trashes it I never want to hear anything ever again like a monk who never speaks for the scarcity of words hold so much more when never spoken and just like music we have over used our vocabulary have u ever said your name over and over it starts to sound weird not like your own like someone else’s so like the legendary monks that brought meaning back into their worlds I will cleans my ears of the modern world and never listen again.
