On March 6, 2025, there was an amazing assembly at the end of fourth period and during power time. We had an amazing person come in to talk to all the students. His name was Kyle, he goes by Uncle Kyle. He is from Hawaii Kyle went through a rough past. He had a good childhood and had a full ride scholarship to a good university for golf. He was such a good golfer. Kyle ended up getting really confident and ended up losing his full ride to his school by fighting with a teacher Kyle then ended up getting peer pressured into drugs. He went to prison because of drugs and ended up getting beat up every day until he told himself he can’t live like this anymore and changed his mindset.
Kyle kept telling himself “stay humble and pray” and to “remember who you are.” He then built up as a public speaker by making “stay humble and pray” his motto. And he blew up with that. I loved hearing his background story. It taught me that my choices have consequences and to always remember where I came from.
Kyle has gone through a lot in his life and still turned his life around. He came to our school Valley High School to tell us that choices affect us and to make good decisions. And that our decisions affect us but we can always change our mindset to “stay humble and pray” and to always remember who we are. And that no matter where we came from we can always change the future and make better choices. Kyle taught me a lot and I’m so glad he came to talk to all of us here at valley high school. We all deeply appreciate it.
